And before you go thinking ‘wow another fool who learned what real life was like,’ no, it’s not like that at all. The opposite, actually. The happy ‘everyone should be nice to everyone’ philosophy was basically a psychological bandage to keep me from jumping off a bridge as a teenager or from becoming a mass murderer. That WAS the construct, the fantasy. It wore off, of course, after enough dismissals and betrayals, but fortunately I’m now too old to care 🙃
