If you want to understand, instinctively, viscerally, why humanity is on the downward slide, stop hustling and start telling people the truth. Just try it. And you’ll start to really get it. The trouble with humans is you can plug very small ones into big systems and suddenly it becomes difficult to see them for what they are and the collective lie for what it is. And what’s worse is that from the inside, they can’t see it either. The ground feels very far away when one is suspended above it by a thousand strings. Truth has a way of snapping those strings, though. And gravity does not negotiate or equivocate. I think, historically, we are in the midst of a market correction, of sorts. The inflated value of self-assured bullshit is the bubble. If you feel like you’re in a solid position, just ask yourself: how much of this stability, this power, that I feel is me, and how much is the system, in whatever social form that takes, upon which my identity and agency are dependent? If you’re honest about it, I suspect the answer will be rather frightening. Which is why people are terrified to stop their hustle, whatever that might be. Hence the impending and inevitable collective market correction.
