Mostly two and a half hours of me building fortifications and automatic ammo delivery systems, and watching bugs hurl themselves against the walls of life.
New factory. No more neglecting defense spending -_-
Got this the other day 🙂
The bugs out-tech and overwhelm me, thus ending the factory. We are clearly dealing with some kind of smart bugs -_-
Could no longer resist the urge to restart. The previous factory was pretty okay, but I learned so much while building it that I’m sure I can do better! Note the double circular hoppers for basic ores and ingots with plenty of room for expansion. Particularly proud of this innovation XD
See what had happened was I like needed the oil but there were indigenous lifeforms there so I had to attack and remove them to get the oil and once that was done I built the oil infrastructure but then the other lifeforms didn’t like it so I had to build a big wall around the whole thing to make a kind of safe zone for myself to live and work in and then I put up weapon emplacements to protect my assets ^^
In which I learn the ways of choo choo trains…
Some factory expansion and building defenses.
Got it a few days ago and ‘Factorio’ has consumed most spare moments since. Here’s the start of the first save that I didn’t noob up too badly. Is still goin’ well. The latest sessions are on Twitch. I’ll put ‘em on the Tube soon.
Bugs are getting angrier. The trains are super fun ^^ 👾🚂
Steps bleary-eyed into the chat…
Still learning ‘Factorio’ but after playing it three nights and thinking it over all day yesterday, I have created a thing of logical sublime beauty. Basically, it’s a cyclical system that promotes efficiency by always providing basic resources at full capacity to the first manufacturing tier. The fossil fuel centipede services the shiny rock processor, which sends metal to the round-and-round, where excess metal is joined with new, which services the shiny ingot combiner ^^
