There is no shame or dishonor in admitting that someone else, a person, a group, an alliance, a state, has more power than you do. The only shame comes from wielding your own perceived power about with reckless abandon and assuming it’s yours, that it comes intrinsically from within you somehow, when it in fact only derives from someone or someplace else. That is history’s recipe for its greatest fools, and its most heartbreaking disasters. And there are always consequences, for everyone.
