Clear. Operational. Objectives. It’s not realistic at this point to ask Israel not to go after Hamas, ’cause Hamas has it comin’. But Israel doesn’t have to bomb civilian targets and it doesn’t have to go out of its way to increase suffering by denying access to basic necessities or escape.
Is it a war to achieve specific, legitimate goals or is it just a war because angry? The second one leads nowhere good for anyone.
“Winning” is peace.
