I mean, when a tree dies? Nobody cares. Doesn’t matter how many fruits it has produced, how many living things it has sheltered beneath it. It’s just wood. When a person dies, though… does their energy just dissipate? Do they go to be with God or the Devil? Do they become some physics-cursed deviant? Do they leave behind errant information, abandoned like some lost flock which could have been tended, were they still alive? Maybe all that one can hope for is to outlive one’s enemies?
