My two questions are: how many innocent Palestinian deaths does it take to equal one innocent Israeli death, or one Israeli hostage; how is that math worked out? And is this a conflict about saving and preserving life and restoring peace or about punishing a group for challenging a particular sociopolitical dominion without social permission? It’s certainly looking more and more like the latter. Ain’t no difference between the U.S. and Russia. Our Crimea, our Donbas, is just called ‘Israel.’
