We should also dispense with the fiction that this is a war between “Israel” and “Hamas,” over hostages. This is the culmination of an ongoing campaign of extermination by Zionists against Palestinians and anyone else they consider an enemy of their agenda of ethnic cleansing and their ideology of supremacy.
Joe Biden and the Zionist enablers in our government could stop this at any time. They don’t even need the UN to do it. All they have to do is make it clear that if the killing continues, all aid and support from the U.S. will cease. But they won’t do that, because Biden only cares about being re-elected, the security state has an incestuous relationship with the far-right security apparatus in Israel (with all the business and personal and political relationships involved with that), our politicians are terrified of being labeled ‘unfriendly,’ as the Russians would say, by the Israeli political machine, and many people have money or social capital to gain from the status quo.
So, when y’all go to sleep tonight, you count those dead and mangled children, and ask yourself if it’s worth it. Clearly the rest of us telling you it isn’t won’t change your mind. We’re just the citizens of the United States, not Israel. Our votes and opinions don’t matter. Netanyahu and his government will decide where our soldiers go and when they will die. They will decide what morality and justice are, and they will tell our president, and he and his lieutenants will tell the rest of us. If you speak out against that interpretation, then you’re antisemitic, right?
If your god, and this goes for any of you, if your god is real, then it stands to reason that you will, at some point, need to explain to it why maiming and murdering innocent families was the right call. Do you think your god is going to congratulate you on your dead baby body count? Do you think that, if that were the case, that would be a worthy god? If that’s what your religion, spiritual or state, tells you is good then the world is better off without your religion.
