It is a legitimate question, isn’t it? Why does the U.S. government only ever seem to have money to prop up too-big-to-fail capitalist enterprises, or to fight wars? Ukraine was the first, and the last, just cause in that second realm for a long time, but the U.S. government never met a war it didn’t want its people to pay for. Great policy for a flash-in-the-pan mesh of oligarchic imperial corruption, but also a recipe for generations of ignorant, sick kids and societal decay and collapse.
