I mean, neither aid nor human lives should ever be bargaining chips useless moralizing blah blah blah, but if I were in Hamas (which I wouldn’t be because I find joining guilds detestable, and even coming from anarchist circles that discourse has to be tedious af), I would set up a deal where I traded a lump sum of hostages for a temporary ceasefire, and then a daily exchange of a few for the day’s aid to the strip. Give everyone time to cool down and sort things out, you know?
