If I could go back in time and tell my younger self one thing, it would be ‘don’t try and fit a type.’ It’s a trap. That’s how they get you when you’re young, before you see the real complexity in things. By ‘they’ I mean anybody selling ideas. There’s truth and lies everywhere and they’re all mixed up together. Loyalty is not the same as obedience. Observe carefully, think critically, but follow your instincts. Your conscience is the god that watches you. Just try and make it proud.
