The social murder of heroes is best crowdsourced. You use the smallest of people to do it. The weak, the liars, the ignorant zealots, and the people on the make. They’ll use these to kill all of your heroes, and then, when there’s no one left to stand strong in your defense, they’ll consume you until you are gone. The process will continue until the superstructure of human connection and the ecosystems that sustain it have atrophied and collapsed. And, frankly, it’s what most people deserve.
